On Thursday, October 8th, PlayStation 4 players who preordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be able to dive into the first-ever beta test. To celebrate the impending arrival of the beta test, a brand new trailer dropped yesterday, though it comes with an interesting disclaimer: “Footage captured on next-gen platform. Performance may vary on other platforms.” Given that PlayStation 5 is not yet available, it’s likely that the trailer was filmed on PC and is not representative of the PlayStation 4 version. Regardless, it shows off what players can expect during the PS4 beta test this week. The PC beta for preorder customers is slated to run on October 15-16, with everyone invited to check out the game from October 17-19.
During the beta test, players will be able to check out a number of game modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination, VIP Escort, Kill Confirmed, Combined Arms, and a smattering of the campaign.
