Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Vanguard is free to play from now through Tuesday, May 24th. The free play event also offers players a big double XP boost, particularly useful for those who opt to purchase the game. All progress will be retained so it’s a great time to get involved.

During the event, players will have access to the brand new Season 3 content with 10 different maps and 20 game modes including the newly-added Mayhem mode.
Stomp around a 1950s monster movie set in the new Mayhem Multiplayer map. Despite the map’s tiny layout, you’ll feel absolutely gargantuan as you battle through a small-scale replica of a metropolis. Fight among the skyscrapers in the center of the map, surrounded by an outer path where you can traverse an ocean or move off-set.
Bring fast reflexes and a Trophy System. The fighting here is constant, and the added defense will keep you focused on your targets as opposed to dodging enemy grenades.
