Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Map and Gameplay Changes Detailed

Call of Duty: Warzone

Activision Blizzard has taken the wraps off the new map coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, its F2P competitive shooter. The team posted a new blog that showcases a metric ton of new images from the Pacific map as well as locations players can expect in the Caldera. The new map will make its debut in the game on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 and it will be present in CoD: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.

On December 8, Vanguard owners will receive 24 hours of exclusive access to Caldera, the brand-new Warzone Pacific map. During this initial period, all Warzone players will be able to drop into Rebirth Island. After this exclusive period, Caldera becomes accessible to all players, with Rebirth Island returning later in Season One.

Caldera comprises 15 huge, distinct areas to explore and fight across once Operation Vulcan begins. There are also hundreds of lesser points of interest to investigate and use to your tactical advantage.

In addition, the team provides details about some of the gameplay changes coming on December 8th:

  • 40 new weapons
  • over 12 Operators
  • new Calling Cards, Emblems, and more
  • new vehicles and dogfighting
  • a focus on Vanguard weapons
  • Circle Collapse changes, in-game events, and more
  • Rebirth Island Playlists
