A new trailer has revealed the region in which Total War: Three Kingdoms’ campaign story will be taking place.

Set in ancient China, you will guide the hand of Sun Jian, The Tiger of Jiangdong. As he receives an ancient artifact, the Imperial Seal, he will seek unity among his people and to establish his dynasty. Total War: Three Kingdoms is a part of the Total War series historical title, basing Sun Jian’s story around 190CE – the same period of time in China’s history when the Kingdom of Sun Wu was established.
If you aren’t familiar with the franchise, in the Total War series you will employ a combination of military tactics, technological advancements, and diplomacy in order to establish your kingdom’s supremacy and achieve their goals. These title range from being historically-based to those build on fantasy universes, such as Warhammer.
