Fans of the smash-hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV can now find out if they can run the upcoming Endwalker expansion with the official Endwalker Benchmark software.
Released by Square Enix over the weekend, the new Endwalker Benchmark software is the perfect opportunity to prepare in advance of Final Fantasy XIV’s new expansion Before the latest addition to this MMO launches on 23 November 2021, you can download the aforementioned test from the official Final Fantasy XIV website.
The new application is more than just a hardware test, however. The Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Benchmark app will also give current players a look forward into future content. Players trying out their hardware will notice an updated character creator feature, which includes the option to create male Viera characters: a new playable race to be added in Endwalker. The appearance data of characters created through the benchmark can also be saved for use in the retail version of the game or selected as the character to appear in benchmark cutscenes.

Between now and the full release of the upcoming expansion, Final Fantasy XIV still has plenty of other activities to keep players busy. From July onwards players will get a wealth of content updates, revealed during the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast.
Between July and August, players can expect to take part in the Make it Rain Campaign. Running from 18 July to 11 August, anybody participating in Gold Saucer activities can grab a special “Vexed” emote. These are is accompanied by a FINAL FANTASY XV Collaboration Event and Moogle Treasure Trove event in the lead-up to the Endlwker release, on 13 September and 19 October. There’s also a new patch, version 5.58, due to land on20 July and an 8th-anniversary event, dut o take place on 27 August.
