Mattel and Milestone developers have revealed the DLC road map for Hot Wheels Unleashed ahead of its September 30th release date. Players can look forward to ongoing special content included in a trio of Passes that will unlock a set of special DLC content from HW originals as well as from Barbie, DC, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and OEMs like Aston Martin, BMW, McLaren, and others.
Pass Volume 1 includes:
- 10 vehicles
- 1 expansion
- 3 themed customization packs
- 3 Track Builder modules
Pass Volume 2 includes:
- 9 vehicles
- 1 expansion
- 3 themed customization packs
- 3 Track Builder modules
Pass Volume 3 includes:
- 9 vehicles
- 1 expansion
- 3 themed customization packs
- 3 Track Builder modules
Developers also have plans to release free content to players every month after release. In addition, players will be able to take part in Racing Seasons that are not part of the pass system. “Are you ready to test yourself in incredible challenges together with the most celebrated and desired vehicles? Complete missions, unlock all levels, and get new themed vehicles and content. But be careful: just like on the track, Racing Seasons are also a race against time. Prove your driving skills and win the challenges before it’s too late! What will be the first Racing Season to test your limits?”
Look for HWU on September 30th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
