Archetype Entertainment took to the Internet to answer another round of questions in the January Exodus Founder’s Q&A.

Exodus might not have landed quite yet but Archetype Entertainment Studio Co-Founders James Ohlen and Chad Robertson took to screens for the first time this year to answer more questions about Exodus. In the latest run down in a series of conversations, the two answered fan submitted questions about the studio’s upcoming sci-fi RPG. This month, time dilation,

 

In Exodus, planet hopping heroes make choice across a huge distance, but getting from A to B isn’t quite like Mass Effect. Near Light speed travel means time moves differently for travellers, and the pair explained how small decisions in one part of the galaxy can snowball into huge events while you’re away. This is a core tenant of Exodus, and one of the unique ways that each playthrough can end up with entirely new galaxies.

The fan focused back and forth also covers the unique role of the central character. Known as the Traveler, the vision for this protagonist is a mix of traditional customization and player choice. Mixing recognizable progression systems with story based choices, both the micro and macro decisions throughout your journey will shape the Traveler you becomes. Along with a ton of extra information about the worlds of exodus, Chad and James also delve into the things that go bump in the nebula. If you saw the earlier videos about the Marqa-Yama then you’ll know what to expect.

This is just the latest in a line of developer diary style conversations, and you’ve got plenty fo time to investigate what lies beyond old Earth , before Exodus eventually launches.
