All hail to the King. Neatease just dropped a Loki Marvel Rivals gameplay trailer.
A certain green Thor bashing machine is coming to Marvel’s arena hero brawler. No, it is not the Hulk. Lokki, just got a brand new gameplay trailer and this hero of the realm brings their own set of tricks to the battle. The teaser is less than a minute of mystic illusions and shapeshifting power, giving us all a chance to see how the God of mischief will handle in the fray.
Unlike more traditional roles, Loki doesn’t fit into the traditional class archetypes. Instead, this sceptre wielding adversary can do more than simply fire a green glow. This Strategist seems to use a range of Loki sized duplicates to gang up on enemies, avoid fire, and teleport between locations. Loki even seems to be able to clone other heroes stealing their powers and physical appearance for their own gain. It’s far from the usual stealth flanker that might otherwise make me think of Ying from paladins.
This is just the start of the action, however. Marvel Rivals was announced just a few weeks ago. Mixing in arena hero antics while overwatch seems to be waning, with incredible animation, familiar characters, and some interesting combat ideas, this upcoming free to play adventure might save us all from boredom when comic book heroes and villains from across the multiverse fight together and against one another on PC.
