Chicory: A Colorful Tale has just confirmed it will get the brushes out soon as publisher FINJI confirms a summer release window.
Dropping a brand new trailer and release date information as part of yesterday’s PlayStation Indies event, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is a wonderfully charming title that grabbed our attention when we caught glimpse of these brush strokes. An initial monochrome canvas is the setting for an adventure that challenges gamers to use the power of art to solve puzzles, help their animal friends, and restore color to the world.
Due to land on PlayStation 4, playstation5, and PC via Steam when it releases a little later this year, Chicory: A Colorful Tale follows gamers as they delve into a world designed by Wandersong’s Greg Lobanov, a game full of similarly charming musical melodies. This time the soundtrack to this visual feast is the work of award-winning composer Lena Raine, of Celeste and Guild Wars 2 fame. Just like in Wandersong, anybody who dares to pick up this easel will be able to use in game artistry and have a direct impact on the environment, allowing you to save the day and bring a smile to an otherwise dull indoor summer.
While this simple looking 2D doodler might not look like much at first glance, the talent behind Chicory: A Colorful Tale has us all sorts of excited. If you are as hyped to get our your easel as we are then you can check out the announcement trailer above and head over to the official Chicory: A Colorful Tale website to find out more.
