It’s been a while since we’ve looked at our last Chuwi product here at GameSpace, but that doesn’t mean the company’s been quiet. In fact, just today they reached out to announce their latest product, the impressively powerful and impressively tiny, Chuwi MiniBook has launched on IndieGoGo.
The Chuwi MiniBook is a full-fledged laptop that comes in at only 8-inches. Chuwi has made their name with their line of tablets and their sales showed them that 8-inches is the sweet spot for tablets, so they set out to make a laptop that matched their most popular form fact. The small size doesn’t mean that it offers small performance, however.
The MiniBook will come in two configurations and price points. During the IGG campaign, the Standard Version will come with an Intel Celeron N4100 processor and be priced at $399. The premium version will come with a Core M3-8100Y and sell for $499. These prices will go up to $449 and $549 after the campaign. Each version will come with 8GB of LPDDR3 memory, 128GB of of storage, and be expandable with an M.2 SSD. It will also feature an impressive 7000mAh battery, x2 USB Type-A ports, x1 USB Type-C port, and a Mini-HDMI out, as well as dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi.
It’s an impressive package for such a tiny form-fact and due to the 360-degree YOGA design, it can double as a tablet. Head over to the IndieGoGo campaign to find out more.
