City of Brass Hits Early Access September 18

In the August newsletter, Uppercut Games shared their plans about City of Brass and the Early Access. According to the devs, they planned on the EA phase from the day one. The significance of this development cycle is centered on being able to balance the gameplay based on the feedback of players.

The game is already far enough along to be fun, but we still have time to make changes to fix anything we might have gotten wrong (or just plain broke), and we’re relying on feedback from our players to help catch the rough edges. And City of Brass is definitely the type of game that will benefit from lots of iterative testing, tuning and feedback, to make it the best game it can be.

So keep your eyes glued to Steam: the date is September 18. The current plan for the game is to stay in EA for 6 to 12 months. At launch, the EA version of the game will include 12 level campaign sporting various enemies, gear, relics as well as traps and genies.

More about City of Brass:

Players take on a role of a daring thief in the cursed city known as Brass in a punishing first-person rogue-lite filled with treasures, rhythmic melee with scimitar and a multi-purpose versatile whip that can grab, trip, disarm, stun or shatter as well as cunning traps and ghoulish foes.

Players will have to lash and slash, bait and trap their way to the heart of an opulent, Arabian Nights-themed metropolis – or face certain death as time runs out.
