Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm introduces Mali

2K and Firaxis Games have just revealed that Mali will be the latest civilization to join the Civ VI Gathering Storm Roster. With its February 14 release just around the corner, the second expansion in the PC Turn-Based Strategy title, Gathering storm will introduce a host of new Civilizations. Mali, as mentioned, is the latest to be announced and will be lead by Mansa Musa, one of the richest men to have ever lived. Designed to be an adaptable civilization, Mali offers some strong economic and faith-based perks to aid players to achieve victory in any situation.

This new civ also comes with a unique district known as Suguba. It will replace the traditional Commercial Hub and will offer a reduced cost to units, buildings, and districts. Also included with Mali is a unique ability known as the Songs of The Jeli which according to the devs,

“Provides City Centers with additional Faith and Food for every adjacent Desert and Desert Hills tile. Mines provide less Production to the city, but grant additional Gold output. Mali may purchase Commercial Hub district buildings with Faith, but suffer an overall Production penalty when constructing buildings or training units.”
