The developers from Noio (Kingdom: New Lands) have announced a new experimental sandbox title. In Cloud Gardens, players can harness the power of nature to overgrow post-industrial wasteland to create small dioramas of urban decay, brutalism and beauty.
“Players can dive into a relaxing sandbox mode with no goals, where they are simply left to delight in their own creativity and create beautiful scenes, or take on a “campaign” of six chapters, where the task is to strike a balance between nature and the manufactured by covering each scene with salvaged objects and lush vegetation.”
Cloud Gardens will be coming to Steam Early Access in 2020. The developers are expecting the game to stay in EA for about 3 months – it will provide the team with enough time to modify the core game loop according to player feedback, fix bugs and polish the UI.
