CoD: Black Ops Cold War to be a BattleNet Exclusive on PC

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Activision Blizzard is working hard to drum up excitement for its upcoming CoD: Black Ops Cold War reveal on Wednesday, August 26th. The company has sent out an email to remind fans about the date. The email also reveals a few details for longtime fans of the series.

First off the bat, Cold War will be a BattleNet exclusive for the PC version of the game. This is nothing new for PC players as Modern Warfare is also exclusive to BattleNet and it is likely that any further iterations on the long-running series will also be found there as well.

In addition, the email shows that Beenox is heading up the development of the PC version of the game while Raven Software and Treyarch are leading the console versions.

The email also gives this teaser: Lies, deception, and the looming threat of war surround you. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will reveal the truth in due time. Stay tuned… we’ll have additional briefings in store for your upcoming mission.

Fans are hoping for some “classic” Cold War locations including Vietnam, Korea, and Afghanistan.

We’ll be watching come Wednesday to bring you all the news about CoD: Black Ops Cold War. In the meantime, head over to the Call of Duty official site to learn more.
