PlayStation 4 players will be pleased to hear that CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered will be released on June 27th! The deal is sweetened with the news that it is a stand-alone game in both digital or physical editions.

Here’s what you can expect when the game launches:

To celebrate the big news, players will be able to take part in a special event beginning launch day. There will be several ongoing things happening including in-game give aways, XP events and new playlists as well as a brand new summer themed map. The Days of Summer will last about five weeks.
CoD:MWR is a first person shooter that is the fourth title in the series. This time, the action breaks away from WWII and is set in the modern age.
The story starts in 2011 with a dangerous new leader in an unnamed Middle Eastern nation. In addition, an “ultranationalist” civil war begins in Russia. Players will take part in the game as a US Marine or a British Commando and travel to locations including the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine.
