If you’ve been eagerly waiting for Code Vein to run the gauntlet and make it onto store shelves, then you might need to pocket those credit cards for a little longer. In an update to eager adventurers, Bandai Namco announced that it is delaying the release of Code Vein until 2019.
Mixing gorgeous bright anime aesthetics with a dark tale of loss and desperation, Bandai Namco’s post-apocalyptic adventure has been eagerly anticipated since its initial announcement in DATE. The tale of this dystopian adventure follows the fate of a Revenant during the Great Collapse time and challenges players to explore the world of Vein in order to recover pieces of their lost memory. After a huge amount of feedback from players over the last nine months, a decision was taken to push back the release date in order to improve the end result.
Hervé Hoerdt, Vice President of Marketing and Digital at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe released the following snippet
“Armed with knowledge of how well the game has already been received, we made the decision to postpone the release of CODE VEIN to further refine its gameplay in an effort to exceed the expectations fans already have of the title. It was a difficult decision to make, but we feel it is the correct one.”
While this means that fans will not get a preview of Code Vein at Gamescom 2018, it will hopefully mean that launch day will bring a much better product. I, for one, would rather get Code Vein when it is ready. Code Vein is coming to Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC when it arrives in player hands.
