Code Vein – Meet Louis

After introducing future players to their Revenant companion Mia Karnstein, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Code Vain showing off Louis. He is also a Revenant who will be helping the players during their journey. Unlike Mia, whose goal is to protect her younger brother, this young man is looking for a way to free all Revenants from the bloodlust.

The European release of Code Vein is planned for September 28, 2018. The game will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The events of Code Vein take place in not too distant future, after the world as we know it collapsed. At the center of destruction is a hidden society of Revenants known as Vein. Revenants exchange their memories for power and a thirst for blood.  However, give into it fully, and you risk to become one of the Lost, devoid of any semblance of humanity.

Players take on a role of a Revenant that is tasked to embark into the world with a companion to uncover lost memories.  The world outside is dangerous and full of enemies that will put players’ skills to test.

Revenants also have access to Blood Veils, devices capable of draining the blood of their enemies in order to enhance their own abilities. Exploiting these enhanced abilities known as Gifts, players can change their form to increase their strength, weaken enemies, and utilize new weapon abilities with overpowered attacks. Utilizing the vast array of weaponry along with each character’s Gift, players can adapt and strategize to a variety of battle conditions that suit their play styles.
