EA has announced the release of Command & Conquer Remastered in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary. The retooled game is now available around the world for PC players via Steam and EA’s Origin platform. Some of the original development team has been instrumental in bringing this classic RTS back to life. The new version of the beloved game includes CC: Tiberian Dawn, CC: Red Alert, and three expansion packs, Covert Ops, Counterstrike, and The Aftermath and comes in at a bargain price of $19.99. Origin players can play the game for free if they are Origin Access Premier subscribers.
CC Remastered includes:
- rebuilt graphics and textures with native 4K support
- seven hours of remastered music
- code has been open-sourced to provide mod support to the community
“Built with the community in mind from day-one, an active Community Council has been involved since early pre-production with 24/7 access to the teams at EA and Petroglyph to provide feedback during development. This feedback has helped shape features such as a revamped UI, updated controls, a Map Editor, and a modernized online multiplayer experience, featuring custom games, 1v1 quick match, Elo-based matchmaking, leaderboards, replays and much more.”
