Cooler Master announced earlier today the release of their new CK550 Mechanical Gaming keyboard series!

Our goal with the CK550 was to offer a pro-grade full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with all the core specs that gamers care about without sacrificing quality. Our fans will get the core essentials to compete at the highest level – and look good while doing it.” says Bryant Nguyen, Peripheral General Manager.

The keyboard features Gateron switches which come in Brown, Red, and Blue.  The following is a list of the peak forced required to actuate the switch.  The Browns come in at 55g linear with a 70g bottom out, the Reds come in at 45g Linear, and the Blues come in at 55g Clicky.  The reds are silent, the browns are medium and the blues are high in noise ratio.  When comparing the Gateron switches to MX Cherry switches, a lot of people will say Gateron will feel a lot better for one simple reason: smoothness.  It is very noticeable and to some, a huge bonus over the cherry switches.  They also come with a rated lifetime of 50 million cycles.

The CK550 keyboard will feature a sleek brushed aluminum base with RGB back lighting.  The polling rate is set to 1000Hz with a response rate of 1ms / 1000Hz.  It has an on-the-fly system for multi-media, macro recordings, and lighting control.  Color schemes and adjustments can be made through the Cooler Master Portal software, allowing you to customize your keys color, lighting modes, and macros to your specific needs.

The CK series delivers all the tools needed for the ultimate gaming experience both for serious gamers and enthusiasts alike taking gaming performance to another level. For more information please visit www.coolermaster.com.
