Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have announced a pretty cool new feature for Black Desert Online. Using the new “Compose & Play” feature, players are able to channel their inner composers to create intricate music by using the included editor that includes guitar, flute, and drums. Characters of all sorts can create these masterpieces, but only the Shai character can play the music to entertain others.
When a Shai character reaches level 56, she will unlock a new ability called “Talent” that helps improve her musical skills. This allows for more variety in composition in terms of beats per minute, time signature, and in the number of instruments that can be played. “It is also possible to form an ensemble of multiple Shai characters playing their instruments and compositions together.” according to the development team.
BDO players will also want to leverage the new daily log in event. Simply logging in each day will net players a number of in-game goodies that can add up to $100 in premium items by the end of the event. Some of the items players will take home include a wizard mini pet, a special service maid, and The Book of Old Moon buff. The event will run from now through June 3rd.
Lastly, the dev team is reworking the game packages that players can purchase to “better reflect the current state of the game and provide better value to new players”.
