Create Your Own Labyrinth As Super Dungeon Maker Launches

Build Your own adventure as Super Dungeon maker launches via early access on Steam.

Choose your weapon, pick some armor, then maybe sit back and think about how that wall texture will look in the afterglow of those flamethrowers. Indie developer Firechick has just dropped its latest pixel art project onto Steam where keyboard warriors can take on an endless array of self made misery and action packed mazes in Super Dungeon Builder. As the name suggests, this chirpy looking new entry allows gamers to build their own dungeons, sharing these with the community and taking on the imagination of their friends and peers.

There is plenty of action lurking in this 2D dungeon crawler when players take control of Fink, a plucky yet heroic chick who’s tasked with navigating this near infinite set of challenges. Each of the dungeons on offer could have different biomes, enemies, floors, secret paths, perilous traps, special items, and hidden objects thanks to the tools available to each DM.

While PC players might remember EA classic Dungeon Master, most of us will probably liken this outing to Super Mario Maker. Fans of the two plumbers will be glad to hear that publisher rokaplay can see the inspiration too and are bringing Super Dungeon Maker to Nintendo Switch later this year too. If you want to get a glimpse of what to expect when the community gets busy, check out the official trailer above or head over to the Steam Store to pick up Super Dungeon Maker for $11.99 or the local equivalent.
