10Tons’ Crimsonland is out today on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re sick of killing monsters in the first-person in DOOM, Crimsonland will let you do it from above. Have a “red” Friday!

From the news:

”The epicness of Crimsonland’s classic Survival mode can’t be overstated. Finding your favourite weapons and perks to get a couple of hundred thousand points is thrilling fun, at least until your friend with a score of 12 million says ‘Huh, cute’. Then it’s ON!” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd.

Crimsonland is a top-down twin stick arena shooter. The game features sixty missions, which are used to unlock the dozens of weapons, perks, and game modes. The real meat of the game is the Survival mode, where the player gets to combine everything in order to reach as high a score as possible. The Survival mode frequently sees the screen fill with hundreds and hundreds of monsters, only to be swept away by a torrent of powerups and projectiles.

Features:

  • Sixty quests in the Quest mode
  • Up to four player local co-op
  • Five survival modes: Survival, Rush, Blitz, Weapon Picker, and Nukefism
  • 32 unique weapons
  • 55 awesome perks
