Cris Tales, the gorgeous looking new JRPG from developers Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK is being delayed until 2021.

Originally due to arrive on 17 November 2020, Cris Tales will still drop on both current and next gen platforms when it arrives. Owners of a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia subscribers can grab the time-travelling adventure when it eventually gets here. Publisher Modus Games announced the news just yesterday and this doesn’t look like it came as something of a blow to everyone involved.

“The decision to delay was a tough one, but was made to ensure that the developers at Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK have a chance to bring the best version of Cris Tales to fans anxiously awaiting its release,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Modus Games.

Since we first caught a glimpse of this at E3 2019 and subsequently got a closer look during Gamescom 2019, we’ve been pretty excited about this time-twisting JRPG. Cris Tales follows the quest of a young girl called Crisbell, who can slip between the past, present, and future. As you travel the land Crisbell faces a range of encounters where her ability to swap between time frames can even influence the course of a battle. In this type of scenario applying a damage over time effect can be far more deadly than just all-out attack power, for example.

Obviously inspired by classic 2D JRPGs, Cris tales has a gorgeous style all of its own and if you’re interested in picking up a copy of the game, the delay has opened up the opportunity for gamers to pre-order a retail version of Cris Tales on any platform including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to receive a bonus game poster! If you’re still not 100% sure then there’s plenty of time left on the clock with this Cris Tales delay. Head over to the official Cris Tales website to check out more about Crisbell and her powers.
