When World War Z receives its next update later today, it will bring PC and Xbox One crossplay with it. This fulfills a developer promise that crossplay would be added to the game before the end of Q1 2020 and they’ve skated right under the wire. Unfortunately, the addition of crossplay does not include PlayStation 4. There is currently no word on when PS4 players will be included.
Join forces with other platforms against the tides of undead in the Crossplay Update, coming March 23!
Xbox One and PC players now matchmake from the same pool. It’s up to you to hold the ground until PS4 arrives in the future! pic.twitter.com/KNrSIos62K

The great thing is that developers have been conscientious about keeping all versions of the game on par with one another so no additional content will need to be added to either one. Hopefully, this makes for a smooth transition.
