According to super sleuth Wario64, a generally reliable harbinger of leaked information, it appears that Cuphead may be heading to PlayStation 4. As of late last night, the game’s cover art was spotted on the international PSN store, though the listing itself with pricing information and more was inaccessible. The fact that the game appeared even briefly on the PSN international site seems to indicate it could be imminently released, perhaps as soon as today or sometime this week.

It may or may not be coincidental that the game leaked on PSN. Later today Geoff Keighley will be hosting the Indie Studio Update for the Summer Game Fest. As Cuphead is one of the most successful indies ever, even spawning an animated Netflix series, it’s possible that it may make an appearance with a release announcement during the event. It’s worth noting, however, that the game is not listed as one of the ones to be featured during the broadcast.
