Looking for a bloody good time for Valentine’s Day? If so, look no further than Gears 5 and the Cupid’s Torque Bow Tag event that is running from now through February 18th. During the event, players take part in Free For All — “like speed dating, except more explosive” — to earn the exclusive Maria Weapon Skin pictured above. All that’s required is to gather up 25 Torque Kills and the skin unlocks.
In addition to the FFA mode for Valentine’s Day, players will want to log in on the big day itself to bring home the Valentine’s Day Blood Spray and Banner. Nothin’ says love like a free gift, amiright?
Starting February 14th and running through February 16th, players logging in will be given a free Boost each day to help ramp up XP and Supply rates. Boosts are claimable from 2:00 am Pacific through 1:59 am Pacific each day for the duration.
Other notable things taking place this week include:
- a Gnasher Update is coming in the “near future” as in sometime this week. There will be a blog post regarding the contents of the update, so keep eyes on the Gears 5 official site
- Versus Event Tour Medals are being awarded for 25 Ring Captures in Versus Weekly Events.
- There are new things in the Weekly Store including the classic Cyclops Locust Drone character skin
