Take a birds eye view of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City. A snap of the Nigh City map, that comes bundled with Cyberpunk 2077 as leaked online.
The photos originally appeared over on the Resetera forum and were reposted by eagle-eyed reporters, thanks to Eurogamer. Hosted over on Imgur, they show what appears to be a copy of the paper Nigh City map that comes alongside the boxed version of Cyberpunk 2077. The map isn’t quite the full interactive overview of the city that you’d expect in-game but gives players an idea of the scale at which Night City exists. The massive metropolis exists in a time where society is a dystopian mess and everywhere from Pacifica, through the City Centre, all the way to the Northern Oilfields contain their own dangers.
The map shows off six major areas of Night City, with the main thoroughfares highlighted in yellow. It’s a sizeable adventure and each of these areas comes crammed with content, from winding alleys to vertical layers of content, based on what we’ve seen in previous demonstrations. The leak also includes a set of postcards, which equally come with physical versions fo the title, and show off a range of artwork depicting areas of Pacifica, Japantown, and the El Coyote Cojo bar.
None of these physical additions to the boxed game give us a huge amount of detail on what content to expect in Cyberpunk 2077, although the ongoing Night City Wire streams from CD Projekt Red seem to be keeping us on our all well informed. There’s no doubt that however much this leak shows us of Night City, CD Projekt Red’s decision to mandate crunch working practices will ensure there is plenty of content for Samurai’s when the game launches, however we actually feel about the need for it.
