CD Projekt RED has started a new column of small notes for Cyberpunk 2077 dubbed Night City News on their site. The first issue is called “Who’s that girl?” and is dedicated to the character that so far has made a few appearances in front of the players: Bug.
The first time we got a chance to “see” her in action, she was nothing more than a voice in V’s ear during the gameplay demonstration. The second time she disabled V’s cybernetic implants with just a blink of an eye in the E3 2019 cinematic trailer.
“With cybernetic augments implanted into her body, Bug uses her brain-computer interface implants to roam the web and hack information to sell. Her consistency and persistence have brought her respect and trust in the field, although it’s not yet clear how she crossed her ways with V.”
Obviously, there is a lot to this character if the first thing we know about her is switching sides. Last year she helped V locate a target during a mission, while this year she clearly stands against the character! Here’s what CD Projekt RED said about that:
