Grab your top hat and cape as Mad Mimic’s magical Dandy Ace launches on Steam.
Publisher Neowiz, the team that brought us the charming 2D Skul: The Hero Slayer, has just pulled something special out of their hat with the news that Dandy Ace, an over the top rougelite action adventure with a magical twist is out on PC. Available on Steam, with a 10% launch discount, Dandy Ace is a bright mix of Action RPG questing with roguelite elements. Taking on the role of an excitable magician, players becoming the Dandy Ace will journey into the Cursed Mirror and fight their way to freedom using a range of magical skills.
Unlike many other RPGs, dandy Ace doesn’t relegate its roguelite elements to monster spawn. This take on the genre tears up the traditional skill bar and provides an incredibly flexible skill system. Based on the magical cards Ace has to hand players will fin a variety of skills and powers available to them in their dash through the weird world of the Cursed Mirror. With hundreds of possible permutations, possibly more, there are plenty of potential adventures on offer for anybody new to the magic circle.
Alongside the obvious cheerful aesthetic fast pace and ever changing combat mechanism, Dandy Ace has an extra card up its sleeve for anybody looking to take their performance to twitch. Mad Mimic has included plenty of live stream integrations, allowing twitch chat to be dazzled by your on stage performance and help you out, or hinder your escape by calling the shots inside the mirror dimension.
