Anti-combat survival adventure Dante’s Ring dropped a new trailer during the Golden Joystick Awards.
Awards ceremonies are the perfect stage to tease a new game, and developer Starward Industries took the Golden joystick audience to a hellish new adventure last night. Opening on nameless island, the new teaser for this upcoming survival experience faces off against an unstoppable volcanic force. Fields of ash, lava flows, and an unyielding heat welcome us to the first look at Dante’s Ring.
The new trailer doesn’t give away much gameplay information for the fiery getaway, but it does set the scene. Comprising all in engine footage, it swoops over a landscape caked in ash, where molten rivers flow and a fiery hellhole sits above what remains. Anybody brave enough to suit up and enter will try to save as many lives as possible form the fallout. You’ll uncover secrets buried deep beneath the island’s fiery fury, navigate the lava flows, explore between powerful earthquakes, and try to avoid getting cornered by fires that ravage the landscape. This will take strategic planning and ingenuity just to survive, while the narrative is set to give gamers a range of complex moral choices, because nature doesn’t care about our feels.
