If you aren’t familiar with the concept, datamining is the process in which curious users individuals dig through the patches and coding of games to reveal information about a game before that content is revealed by there developers. Some times this is simply new items that have yet to be implemented into the game, other times it is major story spoilers (like you are about to read).
Xenoblade Chronicles reddit community user Moosehunter laid out his info dump on a Github page, helping other users comb through the data surrounding the upcoming DLC, Aegis War – an event that takes place prior to the main game’s story.
From the information gathered, it looks like the Driver NPCs are not within the content. Instead, you will playing through the story as Lora, Myrhram, Minoth, and more. It is also speculated that the DLC will provide new Blade gifts for the main game, including Shulk and Fiora.
While all of this information is speculative at the moment and there is no clear release date, the community seems to be receiving it with an overall positive response.
