Phoenix Labs has launched the latest Dauntless update that includes a much-requested community feature. Players will now be able to take part in solo and/or private hunts. The patch also includes a number of quality of life improvements and bug fixes.
Slayers can choose to start a private hunt on any Hunting Grounds Island. This means that players can join up in a party to be the only hunters on any chosen island or they can take on the challenge alone. According to the dev team, this is a feature that players wanted to be included in the game.
In addition to the new solo/private play option, developers also added:
- a solution to reduce player disconnects
- performance improvements
- player projectiles now pass through the ice wall from Urska weapons legendary ability
- a new variation of the frost biome music
- several mastery cards now play Behemoth roar SFX when selected
- a quick chat option to call out Frost Escalation avatars
- Island of Trials updates
- balance and gameplay tweaks
- bug fixes
