Lead Gameplay Designer of StarCraft 2, David Kim, Moves On To A New Project

Last week David Kim, lead gameplay designer of StarCraft 2, left a heartfelt message on the game’s forum. In it he thanks the community for their love of StarCraft 2. Additionally, he tells of his plans to move to a new project.

David Kim Moves From StarCraft 2 To A New Project

Blizzard Entertainment still owns the mysterious new project. However, it remains to be seen what the company has in mind. Ex-designer of Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft 2, Dustin Bowder, also moved to a mysterious project.

I’ve reached a point in my career where I’ve decided to branch out to a different project, to explore, learn, and grow as a game designer. This other project will be right here at Blizzard, so I hope working on this next game will be as awesome as my experience working on SC2 and with the community.

Considering the participation of RTS veterans, is it possible that we still have hope for WarCraft 4?
