Warner Bros Games has announced that Season 3: Sugar, Spice, & Everything Nice, which introduces The Powerpuff Girls into MultiVersus, will start on September 17th. DC’s Super Hero and Queen of the Amazons, Nubia, will come into the game later in the season.
Today’s launch trailer showcases Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles in all their flying glory as they fly in from Townsville to take on the bad guys. The Girls are considered an Assassin-class character and the trailer showcases their unique team up abilities to punch, kick, and bash opponents together. They are one cohesive wrecking machine!
The video also provides a first look at the Rowdyruff Boys and Dynamo Suits character variants for The Powerpuff Girls, available on Sept. 17, along with a new battle-torn Destroyed version of the City of Townsville map that fans of the series will instantly recognize. That map will be released later in Season 3.
Lastly, Season 3 will also add the new Midnight Showing map that allows players to battle against a movie theater backdrop. The best part? The backdrop is inspired by the 1984 cult classic, Gremlins.
