D&D Classics Launch on Steam Via Gold Box Classics

Gold Box Classics

SNEG has announced the release of Gold Box Classics, a series of six collections of Dungeons & Dragons classic titles, for PC via Steam. The six different collections include some of yesteryear’s best-known D&D games including Eye of the Beholder, Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Champions of Krynn, Shattered Lands, Strahd’s Possession, and others. The collections also include digital versions of the original game manuals, hint books, adventurer journals, and more. Players can purchase all six collections for $55.94 ($31.86 for the first week) or individual copies of any one of the six collections individually for $9.99 or $5.99 with a 15% discount applied from now through April 5th in celebration of the release.

On the technical side, they’ve also updated the games to make use of a new game launcher, party transfer tools, and improved DOSBox performance. SNEG is also partnering with the original creator of the All-Seeing Eye and Gold Box Companion apps to improve the Gold Box gaming experience for players. These apps automate dungeon mapping, give better access to journals, make it easier to access spellbooks, and much more!

The following collections are available now

  • Forgotten Realms: The Archives Collection One (Eye of the Beholder I, II, and III)
  • Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection Two (Curse of the Azure Bonds, Gateway to the Savage Frontier, Hillsfar, Pools of Darkness, Pool of Radiance, Secret of the Silver Blades, Treasures of the Savage Frontier, and Unlimited Adventures)
