See the tabletop in a brand-new dimension across PC, console and XR devices, when Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked heads into action
.
Resolution Games, the team behind the Demeo series of interactive VR board game experiences is about to take ferocious dungeon running to a new realm. Battlemarked is a new take on the traditional D&D game. It introduces a DM-less adventure that focuses on group table talk, tactical gameplay, and crosspaly to allow up to four players to take on two enthralling campaigns.
The new trailer doesn’t give us a whole lot to look at quite yet. There’s no definitive in game graphics, but it confirms the e concept is getting a release and reaffirms the tabletop approach to the title. Following Demeo’s approach, VR headsets will get an XR experience that blends in the real and virtual world. The trailer seems to indicate we will get a group of players set around a virtual tabletop space. Roll the dice and pick your battles as players talk through their choices and engage in fast-paced tactical action. Battlemarked will feature two story-based campaigns at launch with additional campaigns in different D&D settings planned as downloadable content in the future.
This approach to D&D looks like a great way for newcomers to try out an imposing world without having to learn every single nook and side street of Baldur’s Gate. There’s no release date quite yet, but you can keep an eye on the campaign over on the Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked website.
