Last week, Behaviour Interactive teased a new Killer coming to The Fog soon. Today, we understand much more about the legendary Xenomorph from the iconic Alien movie franchise and her role in Dead by Daylight. Not only will the Alien arrive as the new Killer, but the equally legendary Ellen Ripley will join the fray as the newest Survivor. All this and much more is coming to consoles and PC on August 29, 2023. Fans eager to see what all the hype is about can log into the Public Test Build for an advance peek.
Developers released a new trailer to showcase the terror that only Alien can bring and the hope that Ellen Ripley brings to the table.
The Xenomorph is the embodiment of the stealth Killer – quick and powerful, it can strike Survivors with its razor-sharp tail. Its Power, called Runner Mode, allows the Killer to walk on four legs and become stealthier, reducing its Terror Radius considerably. An icon of the horror and science fiction realm, it is the perfect deadly killer: surprising even the most resourceful Survivors and forcing them to “sign off”…
Players will also be introduced to a new Map function called Control Stations. According to the team, seven Control Stations are scattered around the map. Survivors who manage to interact with these stations get the new Remote Flame Turret Tool. Conversely, the Alien can enter and exit tunnels beneath the stations for additional tension.
Ripley – The Ultimate Survivor
Not to be outdone by her enemy, Ellen Ripley comes with a strong will and level-headed determination. She is literally the embodiment of resilience which makes her an invaluable member of Survivor groups.
The Entity has recreated the Nostromo Wreckage from Ripley’s memories. Players will have a chance to explore the iconic ship packed with memorable elements from the very first Alien film.
