Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have announced the first DLC for Dead Island 2 and the names of the two expansions coming in the future. Haus will arrive in Q4 2023, followed by the SOLA Festival in Q2 2024. This week’s DLC has free and paid content that includes the new Cosplay feature unlocked during a specific questline. Players can select “cosplay” via the main menu, where they will find a collection of character skins to customize their Slayers.
Cosplay packs
- Premium Character Packs: These include a unique skin for the slayer named in the pack. It includes a weapon that can be used by any of the slayers from the HELL-A Catwalk Collection. These packs can be purchased from the in-game shop.
- Character Packs 1 (Silver Star Jacob) and Pack 2 (Cyber Slayer Amy) are included for owners of the Deluxe, Gold, and HELL-A Editions of Dead Island 2.
- Four further character packs – Gaelic Queen Dani (included for owners of the Expansion Pass), Jungle Fantasy Ryan, Steel Horse Carla, and Venice Vogue Bruno – are also available.
- “Til Dawn” Collection: Features a brand-new skin for each of the six slayers, free for all players. These will automatically appear in the cosplay section after the latest update has been downloaded, and players have reached the unlock point for Cosplay.
Expansions
- The Haus expansion is expected to launch in late 2023. Players wondering how billionaires prepare for the “zompocalypse” will have a new area to explore, new missions to undertake, and new weapons to collect along the way. Fans can expect to find a techno-death cult, debauchery, and, of course, gore.
- The SOLA Festival expansion is targeting a Q2 2024 release date. LA’s party people can greenwash their way to ecstasy and save the planet in true LA fashion, one rave at a time.
Both expansions are part of the Dead Island 2 Expansion Pass or can be purchased separately.
