Hideo Kojima’s mind-bending take on life death and reality is about to a final cut when Death Stranding Director’s Cut comes to PC on 30 March.
Publisher 55 Games and Kojima Productions have confirmed that players on PC who haven’t quite jumped into a dystopian future fuelled by Kojima’s unique vision will get an opportunity to pick up the definitive version of the game when it lands on Epic and Steam storefronts on 30 March 2022. The new edition of Death Stranding is due to set players back a total of $39.99, with an upgrade option available for existing owners at around %9.99.
Anybody adding on the extra edition will find several enhancements to an already gorgeous looking game. The fractured world that players pick through is supported by higher framerates and ultrawide monitor support, giving couriers a better view of the sweeping vistas and greyscale skies that hang above. The new version of Death Stranding also provides a fully integrated photo mode, meaning there’s no need to rely on third party systems to grab the odd snap of the rolling hills or long road ahead. While it might not initially sound like much, this title is absolutely worth experiencing. The dip into a post apocalyptic future where life and death are fundamentally changed and the human race is disconnected and under siege. During this unique story, players can guide legendary porter Sam Bridges, played by actor Norman Reedus, across the remnants of America, and complete a quest to defy the imminent extinction of the Human race.
