Bethesda has great news for fans of Deathloop, the company’s upcoming next-gen first-person shooter. Players can look forward to taking part in all the PlayStation 5 and PC action on May 21, 2021. The announcement was made via a sweet new trailer from Arkane Lyon, the same folks who created Dishonored.
In addition to the trailer, Bethesda also revealed the first pre-order details for both the PS5 and PC versions of the game. At the moment, DL can only be pre-ordered via the Bethesda Launcher but Steam pre-orders will be available soon.
There are two versions up for grabs:
- Standard Edition that comes with the base game, a unique weapon, character skin, and one trinket. The Standard Edition is $59.99.
- Deluxe Edition that comes with four unique weapons, three character skins, three trinkets, and the game’s soundtrack. The Deluxe Edition is $79.99.
Our hero Colt is trapped on Blackreef, stuck in a time loop, and forced to relive the same deadly day over and over. Armed with extraordinary abilities and devastating weapons, Colt is going to have to use every tool at his disposal to put an end to the cycle and find his way off the island. To do so, he’ll have to take out eight key targets that are scattered across the island before the day ends and the loop resets. And he’ll have to do all this will avoiding his rival Julianna, whose sole goal is to keep the loop going by any means necessary. If you’re feeling villainous, you can even choose to play as Julianna and invade another player’s campaign. Learn from each cycle; try new paths, gather intel, and find new weapons and abilities. Do whatever it takes to break the loop.
