Get on your bike, we’re going mobile as Descenders comes crashing onto iOS and Android tomorrow.
No More Robots has been hard at work of late, putting out more new games than we’ve got hands to review, but somehow this plucky publisher is still busy. While this outfit are still busy preparing Spirittea after an announcement in May, they have somehow squeezed downhill daredevil cycling sim Descenders onto small screen. Available via Google Play and iOS App Store, Descenders will get out on the go with us all on 4 August.
For those that missed the first incarnation of Descenders, this sporty cycler is extreme downhill freeriding for the modern world. Think of the high flying acrobatics of OlliOlli World or SSX Tricky but on two wheels. Leaning more into realism than the aforementioned tricksters, this high fidelity track ride generates a range of new procedural courses for every ride, allowing players to take on different jumps, slopes and hillbombs every time they start pedaling. Of course, it’s all about scoring the best air, looking the coolest, and upgrading your rep as you helm your team to victory on these dangerous tracks.
While high flying comes with high risk, it seems that the developers at Noodlecake, the same studio that put together the utterly gorgeous Soundfall, have managed to capture the essence of this game. If you want proof, just check out the trailer above.
For small screen riders who want to pre order now, head to the App Store or Google play Store. If you’re stuck inside then Descenders is already available across Pc and console. Check out more on the official website now.
