During the opening ceremony of Gamescom last night, Bungie revealed a brand new elemental power coming to Destiny 2 with the launch of the Beyond Light expansion. Called “Stasis”, the power is gained by harnessing Darkness and allowing Guardians to “control the fight by performing new abilities such as seizing enemies and shattering them where they stand”. Stasis was shown to big effect in the trailer shown during the reveal.
With the new Power, Guardians will also gain access to new subclasses:
- Warlocks become Shadebinders, “harnessing the power of Darkness to bend the battle to their will”
- Hunters become Revenants, “striking hard and striking fast
- Titans become Behemoths, “controlling the fight by controlling the ground
