During E3 2021 over the past weekend, Blizzard Entertainment announced the street date for Diablo 2 Resurrected, the reworked and updated version of the wildly popular ARPG. The trailer revealed that players can look forward to taking on the denizens of Sanctuary starting September 23, 2021. D2 Resurrected is now up for pre-order for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
In addition to the release date reveal, the team announced that the game’s beta testing period will kick off in August for several, but not all, available platforms. Players interested in being considered for beta testing will want to “opt in” by visiting their BattleNet account and ticking the appropriate box. The beta will include 5 of the 7 classes that will come at launch: Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin, Druid, and Sorceress. The Assassin and Necromancer classes will only be playable after launch.
The trailer also showcased nearly two minutes of gameplay video that will surely rock the socks off fans of the beloved game. The base version is $39.99 while the Prime Evil Collection is $59.99 and includes D2 Resurrected, some cosmetic items, and the Diablo 3 Eternal Collection.
