Developer Blizzard Entertainment revealed the start of the latest season in Diablo 3. Season 26, the Fall of the Nephalem, will begin on April 15, shortly after the next game update that is expected to arrive on April 12.
The new mechanic that will be introduced in Season 26 is the Echoing Nightmare. In the Echoing Nightmare, players will experience an intense, densely packed, increasingly challenging event that stretches their ability to stay in the fight as long as possible. This mechanic explores what happened to the Nephalem that did not succeed in their trials.
The Seasonal Cosmetic rewards include Boots and Pants from the Conqueror Set, a series of portraits themed around Tal Rasha and a pennant dedicated to and themed around Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice. Additionally, players will be able to earn the Rakkis’ Remembrance portrait and the Toothsome Trooper pet.
