Digital Extremes Finds its Five Fates With Warframe at Tokyo Game Show

Warframe at Tokyo Game Show Koumei And The Five Fates

Tune in this weekend to see some major announcements and free loot from Warframe at Tokyo Game Show.

Fans of Warframe in Japan can look forward to some big news from the team behind the Tenno. The popular sci-fi action-adventure lands at the massive Tokyo game Show this weekend. Players who regularly log in to hear the Whispers in the Walls can, instead, tune or turn up on site to hear the latest Devstream, see previews of two major updates, and grab some loot.

Starting at 10:00 p.m. EDT, Friday, Sept. 27 / 11:00 a.m. JST, Saturday, Sept. 28, Warframe’s September Devstream will be held live from the main Tokyo Game Show stage. Fans on site will be able to head to Hall 1 and see a deep dive presentation on Koumei & the Five Fates. This upcoming tale was only just announced at Gamescom 2024 but has me pretty excited. Leaning into Japanese folklore for its inspiration and influence, it has a specific appeal. The team will also 58th Warframe with a full look at gameplay, new deluxe cosmetic skins for other Warframes, and review fresh quality-of-life improvements for new players. Expect to also see a special announcement, and guest Alpha Takahashi, the voice of Aoi in Warframe: 1999, will be joining the team on stage.

Of course, fans can watch this on stream too, via Twitch and YouTube. Tune in live or return at 2:00 a.m. EDT / 3:00 p.m. JST on Sunday, Sept. 29 to see Rebecca Ford (Creative Director) and Megan Everett (Community Director) setup a second livestream, covering new insights into the game, the announcements from Tokyo, and probably a little jetlag.

Digital attendees can grab a free Caliban Warframe in October. Just make sure not to miss the initial stream. Anybody lucky enough to be on site will get the chance to grab exclusive Tokyo Game Show Warframe merchandise as well as free Platinum in-game currency code. There are also photo opportunities with to-scale replicas of Arthur and his Atomicycle from Warframe: 1999, live parkour demonstrations, meet and greet opportunities with the dev team. Digital Extremes also confirmed that a well-known actor is attending the Warframe booth. A Q&A with renowned actor and voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will also take place Sept. 29 at 4:00 p.m. JST. Aside form appearing in some big budget anime, Tsuda-san is no stranger to video games. Staring in Granblue Fantasy, Ninja Storm, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and more, I can’t help but assume this is the prelude to a big reveal. Keep an eye on the live streams on official channels or just get some sleep and we’ll report them when you’re awake.
