Disney Dreamlight Valley Birthday Blog Peeks At the Future

Gameloft is celebrating two big years of Disney Dreamlight Valley with a new birthday blog post that peeks into the game’s future. Joshua Labelle, the game’s creative director first looks back at the past two years and then offers players a look at the future by way of its roadmap.

What’s coming to DDV?

  • The Frog Prince’s Tiana will make her debut in the game later in August. This includes Tiana’s Palace, new outdoor decor, and a new Star Path with a 1920s flair.
  • The Rift in Time Expansion Pass will close this month. Players will “venture deep into Jafar’s palace” to stop his nefarious plans. Along the way, players will be treated to exciting surprises. The team has plans to reveal more about this in the coming weeks.
  • The October update will be smaller, with a focus on bug fixes and quality-of-life upgrades.
  • Timon and Pumbaa will finally enter the game to hang out in The Lion King Realm. They’ll bring big surprises to the Village and players will help them stop an invasion of Night Mites, a new problem connected to Night Thorns and The Forgetting.
  • There are more big surprises coming in 23024.

Labelle went on to talk about ways in which the development team is committed to the player.

  • Creating a Valley that revolves around the player.
  • Player feedback is integral to developers as they work to constantly improve the game. This means the addition of more requested improvements.
  • Players will be given more ways to play together or “keep your cozy solo experience.”
