Gameloft has announced the second expansion pass update for Disney Dreamlight Valley with the arrival of The Storybook Vale. Players can purchase a copy of the expansion for $29.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Apple Arcade, and PC.
The Storybook Vale adds a great deal of new content, including the arrival of five new villagers throughout the expansion. These new characters include Merida, Flynn Rider, and Hades, with two unannounced characters coming with the second portion of the expansion set for release in 2025.
Developers are always keen to show off their hard work and to provide fans with a peek at the new content. Today’s launch trailer offers viewers a look at Maleficent, Hades, and the three new Biomes that have arrived as part of the expansion.
About The Storybook Vale
Players will be working to restore peace between Maleficent and Hades and to stop the Vale from being ripped apart, thanks to their shenanigans. Their epic battles have spread ink all over the Vale, “turning stories and tales of the land into mythical creatures made of paper called Snippets.” These creatures can only be caught using the Royal Net that players will craft. In addition, players ill have to craft and use Lures to snag Snippets.
Players will hunt down Snippets as they traverse three new Biomes in Storybook Vale. Books will come to life in the Bind, and fairy tales become the stars in Everafter. Lastly, Greek myths come to life in Mythopia. All of these, of course, also offer players themed items for use in decorating their homes and dressing themselves up appropriately.
