Kabam and Disney have just unveiled a twisted take on your favorite Disney princess with news of an action-oriented RPG coming to mobile.
This new ARPG will transport players into a world full of Disney characters but not as you know them. Taking a nod from the Kingdom Hearts approach to cartoons, the Mirrorverse will thrust players into a stunning adventure where players build a team of evolved and amplified versions of classic Disney and Pixar characters. With a powerful team of guardians at their back, players can explore a whole new world, with a problem-free philosophy. The reimagined Disney icons will set themselves against some unrelenting forces, aiming to take over this alternate reality. In order to succeed in this quest, they will need to embark on an epic journey and defeat a terrifying evil. At least, as terrifying as Disney can get.
“Disney Mirrorverse represents a brave reimagining of iconic Disney and Pixar characters and stories, and we’re delighted to be working with Kabam to bring this original universe to life for players,” said Sean Shoptaw, SVP, Games and Interactive Experiences at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “This stunning new adventure will appeal to Disney fans and die-hard RPG fans alike, and we can’t wait to show players what’s on the other side of the Stellar Mirror.”
Right now we know almost nothing else about this game, outside of its themes, Intellectual Property, and formats. While this doesn’t give us a lot to go on, not even a teaser trailer, fans won’t have to wait long if they are based in the Philippines. Beta testing begins in this region shortly but the rest of the world will have to wait a bit longer to grab the game on iOS and Android.
