Asus want you to ditch your unexciting old router and get some RGB enabled Wi-Fi with the announcement of the ROG Strix GS-AX5400.
Today Asus Republic Of Gamers goes beyond Ikea crossovers and monitors, with the announcement of the first ever ROG Strix networking device, the dual-band GS-AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) gaming router. When you might think that the unbranded box that came in the post would do just fine, Asus is looking to remove the bottleneck that you might have forgotten about.
The new Strix GS-AX5400 enables delivers ultrafast Wi-Fi 6 combined speeds of up to 5400 Mbps when used with 160 MHz channels. Beyond this high speed compatibility, Asus ROG’s latest piece of kit is able to optimize gaming across a range of endpoints. Any device can be prioritized wirelessly via the Gear Accelerator feature in Strix GS-AX5400’s online control panel. Adaptive QoS can analyze traffic and prioritize game packets, enabling the best possible performance, and mobile gamers can take advantage of one tap configuration in the Asus Router App. There’s even a dedicating physical port that instantly means your Ethernet will get first dibs on traffic.
