Morteshka has announced a brand new game based on Slavic mythology. Called “Black Book”, the game immerses players in a unique game world where the protagonist, Vasilisa, searches for the Black Book that “is said to grant any wish to the one person that can uncover each of the book’s seven seals”. Players will find a unique combination of well-known gameplay genres including deck building, RPG, and adventure.
“Just as Black Book embraces the strong narrative of the adventure genre, fans of turn-based RPGs will feel right at home with its strategic turn-based combat. As you chase the seals of the Black Book, you’ll collect cards that combine to create unique and devastating spells. The cards you choose will directly impact how each battle unfolds, but it doesn’t end there. Companion characters and demon recruits add another layer of strategy to Vasilisa’s journey.”
To get the game off on the right foot, developers will be launching a Kickstarter campaign on May 5th. That same day, players will be able to try out the Prologue chapter of the game via a special demo release on Steam.
